The house is wonderfully eclectic, built in 1929 as a summer cabin for people living in San Francisco. Enjoy the spacious views across the Bay, from Oakland to the Dumbarton Bridge. The amazing garden is 1.2 acres with a unique "outdoor room" and a hillside full of lavender. There are lots of places to explore on this hillside home. Feel free to use the well-equipped kitchen and relax in the living room. Fireplace is available. Off street parking, brick stairs to the house. Enjoy!
Note that public transit isn't great here. If you are on bike, you will really work hard! There are lots of walking and hiking trails fairly close by, as well as a couple of restaurants only a mile away.
The kitchen is fully equipped and you are welcome to cook like a storm! Please clean up afterwards. The entire main floor and gardens are there for your enjoyment too.
Location and Directions
Since it's hard to find, here are directions to Fraser's Perch. We are located at: 443 Lakeview Way, Emerald Hills, CA 94062:
From 280:
Exit Edgewood (which is the second exit south of the 92). Go east (towards the Bay) almost 1 mile from 280 and make a right on Cordilleras Road (at the stop light), then an immediate right onto Lakeview Way. From that point, again almost exactly 1 mile to 443 Lakeview. You will see a large black mailbox at the top of the driveway. Once in the driveway, our house is down the hill from there. Don't mistake the garage for our house. FedEx, PacBell and others do that.
From 101:
Take Whipple exit and go west. Make a right on Alameda De Las Pulgas (you will see Sequoia Hospital at that intersection). Go to Edgewood and make a left (has a signal light). Go about 1 mile and make a left at the first Cordilleras Road. Go about .3 miles to Canyon Road (stop sign) and make a left. Go to the first stop sign and make a right onto Oak Knoll. Continue on Oak Knoll for about .5 miles and make a hard right onto Summit. Go about another .5 miles to Lakeview and make a right. From that point, its about 100 yards to our black mailbox on the right side. Once in the driveway, our house is down the hill from there.

Note that I have 4 rooms that could be occupied at any given time and the people staying here are always fabulous.
House Rules
We follow the Golden Rule here. Clean up after yourself as if you were never there in the first place and be respectful as to noise levels. Yes, we have wifi! There is absolutely NO SMOKING on the premises.
Pets
If you like dogs, this is a wonderful home. My dogs are super friendly and well behaved. Many people have returned because they love my pets! Unfortunately I can not allow cats as my son is allergic to them! If you would like to bring your well-behaved, house trained dog, please clear it with me first and know there is an extra fee.
Rates
Rates vary per room. There are discounts for stays of at least 20 days.
